City of Newport Beach Junior Lifeguard Program

Each year a Regionals team is selected to participate in the Regional Junior Lifeguard Competition held by CSLSA.
The team is selected based on competition results. Final selections are made the week of Regionals. Invited JGs will be sent home with a parent information sheet and an event waiver that must be completed and returned to their instructors.
Event Details (*Invitation Only*):
Transportation to Event: JG parents/guardians are responsible for transporting their Junior Guard to this event. This is an all-day competition and parent/guardians must be present when the competition is completed to sign out JG.
Time: Competition begins at 9:00 a.m. Please report to the red Newport Beach JG tent by 8:30 a.m. Please make sure to check-in and check-out.
Where: Carpinteria, CA. Event will be held at Carpinteria City Beach. It is located at 4975 Sandyland, Rd.,Carpinteria, CA 93103.
Transportation to this event must be provided by parent/guardians as there will be NO bus. This is an all-day competition and parent/guardians must be present when the competition is completed, to sign out JG.

Bring: 2019 uniform, running shoes are optional for running events, snacks, lunch and water for entire day, sunscreen, towel, warm clothes.
