City of Newport Beach Junior Lifeguard Program
Uniform Standard:
Junior Lifeguards are required to wear uniforms in accordance with the Newport Beach Junior Lifeguard Uniform Standard.
Issued Items:
One of each of the below items is included in the NBJG Program fee.
- Backpack
- Towel
- T-shirt
- Sweatshirt
- Hat
- Boardshorts
- One or two-piece Swimsuit (for female Junior Lifeguards)
Additional Recommended/Required Items (to be purchased at your local retailer):
- Fins (Required) - When selecting fins, please be sure to get a surf style fin.
- Rashguard (Recommended) - See "Uniform Standard" above for color recommendations/restrictions
Uniform Ordering:
After your child's account is changed to "swim pass" there will be a uniform tab for selecting your child's uniform order.

Picking up for another family:
- You may pick up for your family and a maximum of one other family.
- If picking up for someone else, be sure to have a written authorization note with you (email, text, etc.).

These are the ONLY pre-program sale dates. Then we will start selling items again beginning the first Thursday of the NBJG Program (6/18).

Families may also exchange uniform items, provided they are in new condition with the tags still on them.
