JUNIOR LIFEGUARD CODE OF CONDUCT
S.U.R.F. ~ Safety, Unity, Respect, Focus
To provide a safe and effective learning environment, all Junior Lifeguards are required to meet the following expectations:
Arrive on time and in uniform.
Be prepared to learn and participate in all activities each day.
Give your best effort each day.
Listen and follow instructions from all instructors and lifeguards.
Treat yourself and others with dignity and respect--both inside and outside of the program.
Keep cell phones and smartwatches put away for the whole JG session.
The JG uniform is only to be worn to, from, and during the JG Program.
Always throw away your trash as well as any trash you see littering the area.
Exhibit good sportsmanship.
Be careful and respectful with program equipment.
Inappropriate language and/or hand gestures are never allowed.
Throwing rocks, sand, shells, or other items is prohibited.
Answer all questions with “yes,” rather than “yeah,” “yep,” etc.
Always use the “buddy system” (3 people).
