City of Newport Beach Junior Lifeguard Program
Santa Barbara Fiesta is a day focused on fun and competition. This event is open to Junior Lifeguards of all competitive levels and from all age divisions.
WAIVER REQUIRED - Due July 15
To access the waiver: log in to your NBJG account and click on the "excursion" link in the upper right corner. The waiver is available in your NBJG account. You will need to know the name of your JG's instructor when completing this waiver. Complete the waiver in your JG's profile no later than Tuesday, June 30.
Event Date: Friday, July 17
Event Time: 9:00 a.m. report to the Newport Beach Junior Lifeguard tent in Santa Barbara.
Location: Santa Barbara East Beach - 1118 East Cabrillo Blvd., Santa Barbara, 93103
DIRECTIONS from the South: Take the 101 North- exit Cabrillo Blvd. Turn LEFT onto Cabrillo Blvd. at the four-way stop intersection. Follow Cabrillo Blvd around the bird refuge past the volleyball courts. Turn LEFT into the Cabrillo Bathhouse parking lots (East or West lot). You will see the competition venue on the beach.
Transportation to this event must be provided by parent/guardians as there will be NO bus. This is an all-day competition and parent/guardians must be present when the competition is completed, to sign out JG.
BRING:
- Current year's uniform
- Running shoes are optional for running events
- Lunch and snacks
- Water for entire day
- Sunscreen
- Towel & warm clothes
