Santa Barbara Exchange

We are happy to announce the first annual Santa Barbara Exchange!   Parents will accompany the kids for a 2 night stay in Santa Barbara (Optional, and must attend this meeting).  July 30th (yes, you will miss the Monster Mile) , the kids will join the Santa Barbara Junior guards to see what it's like to be a SBJG!  July 31st, the kids will join the rest of  team Newport for the Santa Barbara Fiesta Competition. 

If you are a family who is interested in participating in this 2 day, 2 night JG event, please submit a 1/2 page essay explaining why you want to come and what you expect to get out of this first annual event. 

The hotel will be paid for partially by the NBJG Foundation. 

Here is the time frame:

Wedneday, July 29th: Family check in at the hotel in santa barbara

Thursday, July 30th: Kids will join SBJG's as part of their normal JG day.

Friday, July 31st: Santa Barbara Fiesta Competition. Join "Team Newport" and compete against all the other programs at this fun event.  We typically have about 60 kids competing for Team Newport.

Friday night: return to Newport, or stay on your own for a weekend vacation.

If you want to go to the Santa Barbara competition ONLY, you do not need to come to this meeting.
