Division D field trip information
Tuesday, July 16, 2024 - Corona del Mar
For this beach orientation groups will be meeting and dismissing from Tower #5. JGs can be picked-up and dropped-off at Inspiration Point in Corona del Mar. Navigate to: 3583 Ocean Blvd., Corona del Mar, CA 92625. Please meet at your regularly scheduled time, 9:00 a.m. to Noon or 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Junior Guards should wear or bring sandals this day. Encourage your Junior Lifeguards to bring a snack with a drink and plenty of water. Please make sure all of their gear is marked with their name. You may also bring a body board, mask, and snorkel if you would like.
Tuesday, July 23, 2024 - 40th Street
For this beach orientation groups will be meeting and dismissing from Tower #40 in Newport Beach. Please meet at your regularly scheduled time, 9:00 a.m. to Noon or 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Pick-Up/Drop-Off: Please drop-off and pick-up your JG at the corner of 36th and Park Lane. We will have Junior Lifeguard Instructors staffed to assist JGs. The best way to access this drop-off point, is to turn east on 38th Street (away from the ocean), turn right down Park Ln, and turn west onto 36th. You can exit back onto Balboa Blvd after you've dropped off.
Please wear your Junior Lifeguard uniform and bring a snack with a drink and plenty of water. You may also bring a body board if you would like. Please make sure all of your equipment and gear is clearly labeled with your name.
Absences / Late Arrival / Early Pick-Up
We are unable to accommodate individuals that need to arrive late or leave early on field trip days.
If your child is unable to attend the whole session, they should stay home from the Junior Lifeguard Program that day.
