Where do I Drop-Off and Pick-Up?

• Address: 100 A Street, Newport Beach, CA
• The designated drop off area for Junior Lifeguards is at the flagpole on Main Street. Please, AVOID the "A" & "B" Street parking lots.
• Drop-off/Pick-Up Instructions: Turn right on Palm Street and follow the road around without entering the Main St parking lot. You will see the drop off area on the right, just passed the pier when you turn on Main.
• Between 8am and 6pm you are required to pay for parking.
• Please do not park illegally.

 

Balboa Island Drop Off/Pick-Up:

• If your JG gets dropped off on Balboa Island, please drop off before Agate or after Agate. 
• Recommended streets before Agate are: Park and Topaz, Park and Collins. 
• Recommended streets after Agate are: Park and Pearl, at the end of Park where you can U-turn. 
• Please do not drop JGs off on Agate or the intersection of Park and Agate. This creates congestion for the Ferry and hinders the Ferry’s operation. 
• Remember to always abide by posted signage and follow traffic laws. 
• If your child rides the ferry, please also remind them to respect the operators and passengers. Safety is our number one priority.

 

Division A Lifeguard Headquarters Drop-Off/Pick-Up:

• Address: 70 Newport Pier, Newport Beach, CA
• Division A JGs report to Lifeguard Headquarters located at 70 Newport Pier on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. On Thursdays, Division A JGs will report to JG Headquarters.

 

Bike Safety:

Please remind your JG to:

• Wear a buckled helmet
• Stop at stop signs and obey traffic laws
• Wear shoes
